Hyperart: Thomasson

For the past year, we've been working very closely with Kaya Press on the design of Hyperart:Thomasson by Genpei Akasegawa. This off-beat and hilarious reprint of a Japanese best-seller explores the art aptly dubbed Thomassons. Have you ever seen a Thomasson? That doorknob in a wall without a door, that driveway leading into an unbroken fence, that strange concrete … thing sprouting out of your sidewalk with no discernable purpose. Have you ever puzzled over its strangeness, or stopped to marvel at its useless beauty? After you read it, you'll have to go out and find your own Thomassons.

In.Media

Jobdot came to us last fall and told us they wanted spoon+fork to design their new digital media industry news resource website called In.Media. The site keeps digital media professionals informed of the most important news stories, discuss issues and opportunities facing the industry and provide those who are working in the trenches a vehicle to voice their own opinions. In line with the Jobdot website we maintained a consistent look between the two brands to maintain brand recognition amongst their growing core audience.

Media Coalition

Since 1973, the Media Coalition has been defending the first amendment. As their impact has become more prevalent, their website did not communicate this. They came to us with this challenge at hand, and so we redesigned their website to help communicate their place of influence while also improving the organization of information for easier navigation throughout the site.
