Camera Obtrusa: The Action Documentaries of Hara Kazuo

We were asked by Kaya Press to design this amazing book by legendary documentary filmmaker Hara Kazuo. It is the first English-language book on Kazuo's life and method, by the master himself. Hara Kazuo will be on tour promoting Camera Obtrusa.

Shanghai Dancing

Kaya also approached us to design the outside and inside covers of Shanghai Dancing by Brian Castro. Combining photographs and written images, author Brian Castro's fictional autobiography asks if life’s meaning is to be found in the moment or the memory. Brian Castro is currently on a U.S. Tour promoting his book. The book's guts is designed by Purple Gate Design.
